The Sumitomo SH500LHD-7 is a large, heavy-duty crawler excavator designed for high-output earthmoving, quarrying, and major infrastructure work, offering a balance of power, fuel efficiency, and durability through its advanced hydraulic system and Stage V compliant Isuzu engine. With an operating weight of around 50.8–52.1 tonnes, it uses a 270 kW engine and a large bucket capacity of about 2.9m³, allowing it to move very high volumes of material efficiently. It delivers strong digging performance with a maximum digging depth of roughly 6.5 m, high breakout forces, and robust drawbar pull for tough ground conditions. The machine also features Sumitomo’s intelligent hydraulic controls with multiple working modes and auto power-boost functions, helping optimise productivity while reducing fuel consumption and emissions, making it well suited to continuous heavy-duty operation on demanding sites.
